Twitter Tunes: An Introduction

Since I also do a lot of work with the music industry and social media through Uptown Uncorked, I get quite a bit of music sent to me to listen to via Twitter, FaceBook, MySpace, YouTube and more social channels. I also watch my Twitter stream carefully for what the people I connect with listen to so that I can discover new music. In spite of the business nature of the site, I’ve decided to go ahead and use the platform to highlight the Twitter-local music I find so that you can enjoy it too.

The Social Mic category is all about local music and social media. Look for a new feature, written as I find new things, called Twitter Tunes. As often as I can, I’ll highlight one of the up and coming artists or bands discovered online. I hope you enjoy it, and if you want to be featured here just shoot a DM to @social_mic OR @leslie.
